About this property

Welcome to Hotel Siente Tulum

Located just steps from the Tulum Ruins and a short walk to nearby beaches, Hotel Siente Tulum offers a convenient setting for visitors keen on exploring this historic and vibrant region. The hotel sits on Carretera Federal along the Cancun-Tulum highway, making it accessible yet slightly removed from the busier town center where additional dining and entertainment options are available. Guests often mention the necessity of having a car or scooter for further travel beyond the immediate area.

Accommodation at this four-star property includes spacious, clean, and modern rooms featuring air conditioning, balconies, and some with hammocks to relax on. Several reviews highlight the rooftop pool as a popular spot, providing pleasant views over the jungle canopy and a welcoming retreat after a day of sightseeing. The presence of free Wi-Fi, free parking, and an on-site restaurant adds practicality, though fitness facilities are not provided.

Service quality receives generally positive remarks, with staff frequently described as friendly, helpful, and attentive, though a few guests have noted some inconsistency among waitstaff in terms of attentiveness. The hotel’s pet-friendly policy and airport shuttle service contribute additional convenience for travelers with specific needs. Breakfast is available for an extra charge, with food quality appreciated by many visitors.

Hotel Siente Tulum appeals particularly to travelers interested in archaeology and outdoor activities, given its proximity to the renowned ruins, as well as natural attractions like Gran Cenote and Cenote Calavera. Nice hotel. Within walking distance of the archaeological site (15 min) and the beaches (20 min). A bit far from the city center, but great restaurants next door. And a very nice little roof top swimming pool.

Finally made it back to civilization after staying in different parts of Mexico. Room is large, clean, modern, with balcony and AC. Lots of space, nice design, helpful staff and swimming pool! We didn't go to the beach yet, but from pictures looks cool!

Stayed here for almost 10 days. Loved the hotel. Spacious and clean rooms. Staff is very kind and it smells so good in the lobby. If you want to visit the ruins it is very well located as its only 10-15 mins walk. However u need a car, atv or scooter to go more central. If you are Looking for a nearby restaurant, make sure to try Chalulu cafe. Amazing local food.

Lovely hotel the photos don’t do it justice! Rooms were great, modern TV and AC - ours had a hammock and balcony too. Rooftop is lovely. Food was pretty good as a picky eater myself, but there were loads of flies around it at breakfast time. Staff were lovely and helpful. Close to the ruins and the beach and not too far from the town and more beaches. Me and my boyfriend came here from England for 10 days just after our anniversary for our first holiday together and it was great. We booked through loveholidays and flew with TUI and I recommend looking at their activities and experiences as well as the local ones!

We stayed in early January 2025 for a planned relaxing restful holiday with perhaps a venture fourth or two. It's very hard to review it fairly as it was not at all what we had planned on or expected. The hotel has many good points and a veneer of quality and style that shows what they are/were trying to achieve. The staff are a very strong element. Most are efficient, helpful, and keen to help where possible. The rooms are spacious and well presented and initially appear to be very good indeed. However, this is where the mask begins to slip. There is an effort to present the hotel as a feel-good, tripping hippie, eco-friendly, boho haven, but, in truth, this is used as an excuse for missing basics. No mini fridge or comfortable seating in the room and no balcony furniture. Some reviews say beds too hard, etc. But I, who is a little sensitive to such matters, found them firm but decent. Leaking doors/windows/ceilings in rainstorms. Erratic plumbing and poor finishing in the sink/bathroom/shower area are another clue to the contradictions of Siente Tulum The rooftop bar / restaurant / pool relaxation area is a very clever use of space and a highly original design. The whole floor is open plan and is modelled on the deck of a ship from to bow-stern. There is an open area seating / working area to the rear with funkyswing chairs, normal tables, chairs, and even a glass business /meeting room. The middle section is a covered 'galley' kitchen and earing area used for all meals served in the hotel. There are plants and wall murals, etc. attempting to create a rustic / peaceful / natural vibe. Yet, the regularly blaring (occasionally intolerable) dodgy 1990s clubbing cover version based music rather destroys that effort. The 'bow' area has the open bar area modelled as the bridge of the ship, a horizontal mast and sails are used to provide minimal cover / shade from the strongest sun. There is then a 'deck' area with a space / sun beds for less than 20 people but with no umbrellas or other facilities usually expected to be available. Then comes a finishing touch to the ship creation with an 'infitinty style' pool as the water on which the ship is sailing. It is the width of the hotel but 2 metres or less in length! The food was a real mix. Siente operates buffet style for breakfast and dinner. Breakfast is simple: omlettes, egg dishes, pancakes and fruit etc. It was all tasty and enjoyable. The coffee was cheap but plentiful. Dinner buffets were simply POOR: a handful of luke warm dishes that would normally just not be good enough. Judging from the looks on the faces of those who paid separately this was a widely held opinion. The total opposite was true of lunch time. The food area turns into a cafe style service post breakfast and offers a limited but excellent menu of items made fresh to order from noon-5pm This was made available to us as part of our all inclusive package and quite frankly prevented major arguments and rescued the food situation overall. All lunch items we sampled were fresh, tasty, plentiful, and excellently presented. SIENTE should not bother offering an all-inclusive package. It is simply not set up to offer what most people would expect or demand. No easy beach access, no real pool and poolside facilities and no entertainment or activities etc. Fortunately my wife and I are not typical all-inc. holiday makers and so we're able to adapt our holiday from one planned on being fly and flop but with 'traveller days' to almost the exact reverse. We arranged multiple trips around the peninsula and kept hotel days to those needed to recharge our slightly aged batteries. We ate big lunches upon returning from trips and journeyed into Tulum Central for treat dinners! Thus, we managed to minimise the negative effects of the hotels limitations. BUT, due to Tulum no longer being a cheap location, and SIENTE being located close to the ruins not the town it cost a lot of cash to adapt our holiday! Good for short stay digital nomads or a dash of 'backpacker luxury' NOT All Inc

I stayed at The Siente Tulum Hotel for 10 days, and overall, it was an amazing experience. The location was perfect—right next to downtown, making everything super accessible. The room was spacious, clean, and modern, complete with a hammock and a beautiful view. The rooftop pool and bar offered stunning views, and the food service was excellent. Santiago, who handled any issues we had, was absolutely outstanding! I also really liked the great chats we had in the evenings with the concierge, Gonzalo—he was incredibly helpful and friendly. If I had to point out one downside, it would be that a few of the waiters seemed a bit inattentive, often too busy chatting or doing their own thing to notice us.

If you are looking for the perfect balance of luxury, location, and value, look no further. My stay at Siente Tulum Hotel & Cenote Club exceeded every expectation. Exceptional Service The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful even I don’t speak Spanish, they made communication seamless and went out of their way to make sure I had everything I needed. Their hospitality truly stands out! The Rooms The rooms are fantastic—exceptionally clean, spacious, and incredibly comfortable. After a long day of exploring, it felt like a true sanctuary. Prime Location & Views • The Best Spot: It is situated directly in front of the Tulum Ruins. You can walk straight to the ruins and the beach—no taxis required! • Rooftop Views: The rooftop offers a stunning overview of the vast rainforest. It’s the perfect place to relax and take in the scenery. Convenience & Value • Easy Parking: Parking is easy and safe, which is a rare find in this area. • Unbeatable Price: I was shocked at how low the price was for a 4-star hotel. You get high-end quality and a prime location for a fraction of what you’d expect to pay. Final Verdict: Amazing rooms, perfect location, and a staff that makes everyone feel welcome regardless of the language they speak.

Santiago was a wonderful host and was extremely helpful with helping us around. Easy transportation to and from downtown on colectivo. Not crowded, not rowdy. I loved it here. We will be back.
